Why You Need Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin C in Your Daily Skincare Routine

There’s no doubt about it, a good quality skincare regime really makes the difference to how your skin looks and feels.  If you don’t take your make-up off carefully, cleanse and moisturize properly, your skin soon takes on a dull appearance and you might even experience breakouts if you’ve left traces of last night’s make-up on your face.  Even worse, if you’re no longer in your teens or twenties, a poor skincare regime will tell the tale of aging and no one wants to look old if they don’t need to, but what are the right products to incorporate into a skincare routine that make the difference?  Well, two ingredients that you should add to your skincare routine are hyaluronic acid and Vitamin C. Our organic, cruelty free and kind Skin Boost hyaluronic acid with Vitamin C does a lot of hard work to keep your skin looking fantastic.  It’s what we at Emmanuela Cosmetics call a miracle worker and with good reason.

It’s Natural

Firstly, hyaluronic acid is a natural product.  Your body already produces it so you’re putting back natural goodness into your skin.  It’s very important as it protects the dermis (deep within your skin) and using it in serum format is so much better for absorption than a moisturizing cream, although we would always recommend applying our Vitamin C infused hyaluronic Skin Boost serum followed by our moisturizer.

Actually, hyaluronic acid is not an acid, it is a type of sugar that is naturally present in the body and its job is to hold onto hydration and turgidity in the skin cells. Hyaluronic acid molecules absorb up to 1,000 times their weight in water – so it’s highly effective stuff!  When you haven’t got enough hyaluronic acid in your skin, your skin starts to lose its tone and sags.  Lack of hyaluronic acid also means that loose skin forms lines and wrinkles.  We like to call it a natural plumping serum and that’s another reason why we’ve added anti-oxidant Vitamin C which bolsters elasticity, encouraging healthy collagen formation too.

Vitamin C is essential when it comes to skincare, it helps the skin to stay youthful and it works hard to prevent attack from free radicals such as industrial fumes, pollution, the sun and smoking (all of which break down the skin so it is more susceptible to fine lines and wrinkles). Our Skin Boost’s blend of hyaluronic acid with Vitamin C is super-powerful and delivers a really firming, plumping effect.  Skin simply looks fabulous!

As we women get older, our natural levels of hyaluronic acid decrease.  So skin starts to look drier and those dreaded lines appear.  Skin also looks more tired than when we were younger, even losing its natural radiance.  Our Skin Boost hyaluronic acid with Vitamin C can help to reverse those skin problems.  Penetrating deep into the skin, just one application will make a visible difference and with extended use, you’ll encourage that youthful glow that you’ve been missing.

Using it is easy.  Once your skin is cleansed, take a few drops of serum and place in the palms of your hands. Then, gently massage it into the skin (you can extend application to your neck and décolletage), follow this with our Age Defying moisturizer to complete the process and do this twice a day for best results but at night time, replace your day moisturizer with our Night Moisturizer with Retinol and Hyaluronic Acid .

Finally, if you haven’t yet experienced a loss in firmness or you still have that fresh glow, we’d still recommend using hyaluronic acid because the earlier you start, the more chance you have of prolonging your radiant, youthful skin.
